THE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE
TREE CROPS AND VITICULTURE
The work in Tree crops and Viticulture includes citrus, tropical and subtropical fruits, table grapes,
deciduous fruits, vegetables and flowers. New varieties of fruits, vegetables and flowers
are tested for increased yield and quality traits. Methods to solve various problems concerning
cultural practices and post harvest treatment are studied. The conservation of plant genetic
resources and the National Herbarium are also activities of this section.
