Plant Protection
The main objectives of the experimental work in Plant
Protection is the identification and effective control of
pests and diseases of the most important crops, such as
vines, citrus, deciduous fruits, vegetables and ornamentals.
Both biological and chemical control methods are tested
within the framework of integrated pest management
programs. Research work is also carried out in nematode
control, weed control, insect resistance to pesticides and
pesticide residues.
