The Establishment and Role of the Institute of Technology

The vision of the Institute is "... to be a flexible, competent and efficient organisation which in cooperation with other organisations, will play a catalytic role in the effort to increase the competitiveness of the Cyprus industry ..."

The mission of the Institute of Technology is to administer and promote the technological upgrade of the Cyprus industry.

The Institute of Technology is administered by a board of directors that consists of twelve members chaired:

• Mr. Kyriakos Christofi (Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism) Chairman

• Mr. Michael R. Erotokritos (Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism) Vice Chairman

• Dr. Andreas Pittas (President of OEB)
• Mr. Vyron Kranidiotis (Vice President of OEB)
• Mr. Antonis Pierides (Director General of OEB)
• Mr. Vasilis Rologis (President of KEBE)
• Mr. Christos Georgiades (Vice-President of KEBE)
• Mr. Panagiotis Loizides (General Secretary of KEBE)
• Mr. Michael Leptos (Director of Planning of the Planning Bureau)
• Ms. Viktoria Natar (Senior Economic Officer of the Ministry of Finance)
• Mr. Panagiotis Koutourousis (Director General of Industrial Training Authority)
• Mr. Giorgos Parpas (President of the Advisory Committee for Industry and Technology)

The Institute of Technology employs professional individuals originating from a variety of academic and work experience backgrounds. These individuals are the following:

The above professionals are backed up by a dynamic support group compriced of: Ms. Froso Leonidou, Ms. Despo Erotokritou, Ms. Keti Pitta and Ms. Artemis Kapiri. Apart from the permanently employed personnel the Institute utilizes, according to its needs, the additional services of other administrative personnel, professionals, and special collaborators.
