The Consumer Price Index for October 2000 increased by 0,65 units or 0,61% to 107,17 units compared to 106,52 in September 2000. This is mainly due to increases in the prices of petroleum products, electricity, certain fresh vegetables, potatoes and certain items of clothing and footwear. 2. The average rate of increase of the Index for the period January-October 2000 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 4,25%. 3. The average rate of increase of the Index for the last twelve months (i.e. November 1999 - October 2000) compared to the preceding twelve months (i.e. November 1998 - October 1999) was 4,05%. 4.
