The Statistical Service announces that it has published the report “Social Indicators”. The report provides data on a time series basis for a wide range of social topics such as the development of the population, the changes in the fields of education and health, the changes with regard to income and consumption behaviour of the Cypriots, their participation in the labour force, working and housing conditions, household structure as well as leisure.

All indicators presented in this publication have been prepared on the basis of the recommendations of the European Statistical Office (EUROSTAT). Thus for each topic covered in this report a number of indicators are also presented which correspond to countries of the European Union so as to give the reader the possibility to make comparisons.
