Question:

What are the regulations regarding bringing pets into Cyprus%3f

Answer:

Pets may be brought into Cyprus on the acquisition of an import permit from the Cyprus Veterinary Services. Cats and dogs must be accompanied by a health certificate signed by an official government officer of the country of origin. They must then be kept under quarantine for six months. Home quarantine in a previously designated area where they can be inspected at intervals by the Veterinary Services Department is also possible. After arrival they are vaccinated against rabies and treated for echinococcus and ectoparasites.

The following breeds cannot be brought into Cyprus: American Pit Bull or Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro.
