[Application for a permit to settle in Cyprus permanently without working (Category F)]

Answer:

In order to settle in Cyprus permanently and to live on earnings derived from your pension and/or other income from sources outside Cyprus and to inform you that, under the existing legislation in order to obtain such an Immigration Permit, you have to apply to the Chief Immigration Officer, Nicosia, Cyprus, for his approval under Category «F» of Regulation five of the Aliens and Immigration Regulations of 1972-1996 on the attached form M.67.

In accordance with the above-mentioned regulations your application will be examined in the first instance by the Immigration Control Board whose findings and recommendations will be subsequently submitted to the Minister of Interior for a decision in his capacity as chief Immigration Officer.

You are kindly requested to submit together with your above-mentioned application a short «Curriculum Vitae» of yourself and documentary evidence that you have in your own and free disposition a secured annual income (such as pension, dividends from investments, interest from deposits, etc.) of a sufficient amount to support yourself and your family whilst in Cyprus. Please note that only original or officially certified copies of the documents showing your secured annual income are accepted.

If your application for an Immigration Permit is finally approved under the above mention Regulations you will not be allowed to engage in any form of business profession or occupation, whether paid or unpaid while residing in Cyprus and you will have to support yourself and all your family from own income.

Please note that the required secured annual income for a person is £3,800 (Cyprus Pounds) (approximately € 6,600) plus £1,800 (Cyprus Pounds) (approximately € 3,100) for each dependent person.
