Ένας Αρκούντως για να είναι υγιείς πρέπει να ναι ολιγαρκής (Enas Arkoudos gia na einai ygieis prepei na nai oligarkis) is it possible for anyone to translate this phrase for me directly? i know its something like 'for a teddy bear to be healthy he needs ***' the last word has been impossible to translate and even to two of my native greek friends can't quite provide a meaning in english.  i would really appreciate it as i think i'm missing out on something by not quite 'getting' the sentiment in the phrase! efharisto... melissa x  |

a note: Arkoudos (male bear) = αρκούδος ολιγαρκής means frugal, content with little. So, for a male bear to be healthy he must be frugal, content with little. |

efharisto poli irene...but im afriad i have one more question! in this context i really struggle to understand the 'na nai'? nai is yes as far as i understand so does it again have multiple meanings ? i love this complicated language with its rules but apparent sheer randomness!! so please i ask for some explanation...and i'll do my best to understand it! |
