  Hi, I'm Suzana Resende. I need to speak and to learn Greek quickly. I'm a brazilian student of journalism. I will travel to Atenas next year. I need help somebody.

  The best way to start is to buy the British Broadcasting Corporation books and tapes called GREEK LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE .THEY ARE MODERATELY PRICED

É bom ver por aqui alguem que fale português.
Acho que este curso, que está muito bem feiro, pode ser uma excelente ajuda para quem quer começar a aprender. Logo que saiba ao menos ler, acho que é importante ler, ler jornais (eu leio todos os dias vários jornais, aqui na net), com a ajuda de um bom dicionário. Infleizmente, em português não é facil emcontrar, mas aqui on-line tem um muito bom : http://www.in.gr/Dictionary/lookup.asp?
Há um site onde pode colocar toda a espécie de questões (eu tambem o frequento) : http://www.speak-greek.co.uk
Além disso, estou ao seu dispor para ajudar no pouco que eu souber...

  Olá J Marques! Que bom saber que posso contar com a sua ajuda. Os sites recomendados por você terá um grande valor para mim. Não sei nada do idioma Grego. Preciso aprendê-lo rapidamente, pelo menos até o início das Olimpíadas de Atenas. Eu e mais alguns estudantes de jornalismo da Universidade Católica de Brasília temos um projeto de ir cobrir as Olímpíadas.

  Já tem um plano para a sua aprendizagem?
Uma vez que o tempo de que dispões é muito curto, precisa de planear muito bem a forma como vai estudar/aprender.
Antes de mais, o alfabeto e o modo como se devem ler todos os caracteres. Depois, aprender a usar o teclado com os carecteres gregos e tambem aprender a escrevê-los à mão.
Quando dominar razoavelmente bem o alfabeto, inicie as lições do kypros.org.
Cá estarei, sempre que precisar de mim.

That being so there are two CD/ROMS which will be of help now and in the future
the first is Greek -Worldtalk published by EUROTALK e mail 10042.1701@COMPUSERVE.com [Make sure you get the elemantary one as the also publish an intermediate one ]They cost about £25 each but in my view they are excellently and very professionally produced
Second is the Anotek one called Read and Speak Greek e mail www.anotek.com This one is a complete course but it starts and YOU choose what you want .It is like having a Greek teacher in your house
It suffers two disadvantages
BUT YOU LEARN
a.The cost is about £45
bThe illustrations and production are amateur
