Is there away to listen to the audio using an iPhone? I get an error saying Safari cannot download files.

  Hi guys,

Since I'm temporarily in a region of the world where the Internet connection is really sloooooow, I downloaded the audiofiles (MP3) to my home computer before I deployed, imported them into iTunes, where they were converted to MP4 automatically, assigned them to a Playlist Kypros Greek course and then synchronized my iPhone.

Now I know you are not really supposed to do this and I certainly don't intend to sell or distribute any of these files - and yes, I donated to this excellent site! - but for me it was the only way to have the audio available here in this outpost.

It's an excellent way of listening and practicing away from your computer, especially because the Real Player interface causes so much trouble. I tried playing the files through RP and it sure doesn't work here.

Hope this helps!

Peter

PS please respect the work of all the good folks on this site and don't spread these files using this info. Use it for your personal development and make a donation instead!

Since the Audio Lessons on the LGO site are in a Real Player format (.rm), and the files on the CyBC site are in Windows Media Player format (.wma), how were you able to download the audio files as MP3 ???

  -update-

Mac users have previously reported success playing the LGO Audio Lessons using the Mac OS X version of VLC Player. There is now an iOS version of VLC Player, available for free download at:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-ios.html

Note: the iOS version of VLC Player requires iOS 3.2 or later and currently supports iPad, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS only.
