The meaning of two Greek words.
by Guest User - Monday, 7 June 2010, 06:47 AM
I bought an English-Greek dictionary the other day, and the word ΦΥΤΡΑΚΗ was printed across the front of it.  Is that a publisher or something?  I couldn't find the definition of that word.  Also, I have been running across the word στο -- what does that mean?

ΦΥΤΡΑΚΗ is the publisher. You can find their website at:
http://www.fytraki.gr
Their various dictionaries are shown under the ΛΕΞΙΚΑ tab.

στο is a combination of the preposition σε (in, on, at) and the neuter definite article το (the). Thus στο means "in/on/at the". στο itself is formally introduced in Audio Lesson 4.
