Hi! Of course, I started from the song "Τι γλυκό να σ'αγαπούν", performed by Haris Alexiou. I wonder if we can say also "Τι γλυκό να αγαπηθείς", reaching the same meaning of "Τι γλυκό να σ'αγαπούν", that is 'How sweet to be loved". Thank you, George |

In principle, yes. I don't see anything in this construction that precludes using the passive. On the other hand, here you are using the aorist subjunctive, which gives a meaning of punctuality, i.e. as if the being loved happens at a single point in time, while the original had the present subjunctive (i.e. the simple present after να). To make a comparable passive contruction, you should use the present subjunctive as well, i.e.: Τι γλυκό ν' αγαπιέσαι. |
