Meaning of "η κάρτα αλλαγής"

I've come across "η κάρτα αλλαγής" in the HAU Podcast lesson 26 "At the bookstore" when one of the characters goes to pay. I think this would literally translate as "card of change" but I'm not quite sure what that could be. Is it what we in the UK call a gift voucher?

Thanks in advance

When you buy something from a store as a gift for some person, they give you this "κάρτα αλλαγής" with it, so if that person doesen't like the gift he or she may return it and by presenting this card may take something else.

Now I don't know exactly what a gift voucher is, but by the sound of it i guess it is the same thing with "κάρτα αλλαγής" :P

I don't know what your Country calls it. In the US if you are buying a present for someone that might want to change or return it they print you a gift receipt. It shows are the information regarding the purchase except for the price.
