How do I say "sit and rest" in Greek
by Ninja Mustang - Thursday, 10 September 2015, 04:36 PM
How do I say "sit and rest" informal way, like to my friend.

Is it katheseis kai na ksekourazesai? Again, I'm not commanding. It's just a saying... like hey, sit down and take a break, or simply sit down and rest.

Thanks!

  You can say:
"katse ki arakse" (κάτσε κι άραξε). This is more slangish smile

or

"katse (or kathise) kai halarose" (κάθισε (ή κατσε) και χαλάρωσε).

or (more literal translation)

"kathise kai ksekourasou" (κάθισε και ξεκουράσου). This is probably the one you're looking for smile
