adjective if it refers to the object (...λίγα ελληνικά) adverb if it refers to the verb (μιλάω λίγο...) same theory applies to (adverb) πολύ and (adjective) πολλοί or πολλή or πολλά (depends on the object in question) but in this case it's easier to spot the difference due to it's λ spelling adverb = λ + υ adjective = λλ + noun-ending (ος/η/ο - οι/ες/α etc) SOURCE: BASIC GRAMMAR OF MODERN GREEK for English Speakers (available at Bibliagora.co.uk) |
Re: adjective or adverb? | |
Adjective qualifies a noun or pronoun. An adjective often, but not always, comes before the noun or the pronoun which it modifies. For example: 1. The sweet baby was sleeping. 2. The baby was sweet. The word "sweet" is describing and modifies the noun baby. An adverb is a word that describes a verb. Adjectives Examples |
