Ayios Yeorghios o makrys

 'Kontos' (Short) refers to the short distance and 'Makrys' (Long) to the longer distance from the centre of the town to the monasteries . The main cemetery of the town is attached to St. George the Short . An annual fair takes place in the grounds of the monastery on the Saint's name - day .
