The Salt Lake , Larnaca

 The Salt Lake has always been a great attraction for the Larnacans . Its forest was a usual destination for school excursions and generally a beauty spot for rides in horse-driven gharries . The lake has also been the principal source of salt for the island but the proximity of Larnaca's international airport has rendered its salt unfit for human consumption .
