The Associate degree in Office Administration is a continuation of the Diploma in Office Administration and provides thorough preparation for the most advanced and highly-paid (secretarial) administrative positions. The program is designed to provide the student with a broad understanding of business concepts and micro computer theory as well as actual "hands-on" experience with the most common micro-computer applications as they apply to business.

Specific Objectives

  • To offer a thorough secretarial/administrative preparation based on little or no previous experience in office administration;
  • To provide the student with a broad understanding of business concepts and micro-computer theory, as well as actual "hands-on" experience with the most common micro-computer applications as they apply to business;
  • To provide additional emphasis on accounting and office management so as to offer the student the variety and breadth of knowledge needed in any business setting;
  • To achieve advanced typewriting and transcription skills, which match the professional external examinations' requirements;
  • To provide thorough office practice knowledge on office equipment/machinery and the foundations of initiative, professionalism and decision-making in all areas of office enterprise.
