HISTORY
Round Table is an international club for men between the ages 18 to 40.
Its roots go back to 1926, when Lois Marcesi, a young Rotarian, having
felt the frustration of not being given responsibility or the opportunity
to earn recognition within Rotary, believed that there was need for an
organisation which would take into its ranks only young men.
The first
constitution and Rules of Round Table were drafted on 25th May 1928.
Despite the origin and relationship with Rotary, Round Table is a totally
independed Association. Since then Round Table has expanded to cover
40 countries around the world with over 3000 clubs and 300.000 members
world-side, sharing the same ideals and objectives.
The first Round Table in Cyprus
was chartered in 1978. Now there are 8 clubs operating in the island;
