The President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Glafcos Clerides announced on April 8 a cabinet reshuffle, the first one since his election in February 1993.

The new cabinet members in President Clerides's Government are:

Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, Foreign Minister

Mr. Nicos Koshis, Minister of Justice and Public Order

Mr. Georghios Hadjinicolaou, Minister of Education and Culture

Mr. Christos Solomis, Minister of Health

Mr. Leontios Ierodiaconou, Minister of Communications and Works

Mr. Manolis Christofides, Government Spokesman.

The new Ministers were sworn in on April 9, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace and pledged to work hard to meet the challenge ahead in their respective ministries.
