UAlbany and Cyprus to collaborate on high tech
(from Business Review Albany,USA,  October 22, 2002 )

The state University at Albany and the Republic of Cyprus have entered into an agreement to share resources and promote scientific and technological development.

The collaborative agreement was signed Monday by UAlbany President Karen Hitchcock and H.E. Nicos Rolandis, ̀inister of Commerce Industry and Tourism for Cyprus. UAlbany will establish closer links with universities in Cyprus and allow its facilities to be used to benefit high-tech business incubators in the Mediterranean country.

The program isn't the first time that Cyprus and UAlbany have interacted. For the last 30 years they have exchanged scholars and students and worked together on projects such as archaeological excavations.
