Meeting
of the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Mr. Nicos A. Rolandis
with the High Commitioner of India in Nicosia Mr.Pavan K. Varma
The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Mr. Nicos Rolandis today had a meeting with the High Commissioner of India Mr. Pavan K. Varma.
Speaking to the press after the meeting Mr. Rolandis said that the High Commissioner of India in Cyprus conveyed to him an invitation from the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of India to pay a visit to the Republic of India for discussions on the issue of high technology.
Mr. Rolandis pointed out that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism is exercising great efforts over the last years in order to develop the high technology sector in Cyprus through the institution of business incubators.
Mr. Rolandis also said that India is a country that is making rapid paces in the field of high technology and is exactly for this reason that there is a big scope for cooperation in the particular field.
During his trip to India, Mr. Rolandis will have the opportunity to visit technological places of interest and to exchange views with Indian officials.
