The Cyprus Institute of Technology made its appearance in 1992 as a response to the challenging and highly competitive environment that the Cyprus economy was facing. The Cyprus Institute of Technology was established by three co-founders who wished collectively to create an organisation that would be characterised both by dynamism and efficiency in promoting the competitiveness of the Cyprus manufacturing industry. Its three co-founders are the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEBE) and the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). The Cyprus Institute of Technology is registered as a private non profit Institute under the 1972 law of Clubs and Institutions.


The Vision

The vision of the Institute is "... to be a flexible, competent and efficient organisation which in cooperation with other organisations, will play a catalytic role in the effort to increase the competitiveness of the Cyprus industry ..."


The Mission

The mission of the Cyprus Institute of Technology is to administer and promote the technological upgrade of the Cyprus industry.

The Cyprus Institute of Technology has recruited professional individuals originating from a variety of academic and work experience backgrounds. These individuals are the following:

Apart from the permanently employed personnel the Institute utilizes, according to its needs, the additional services of other administrative personnel, professionals, and special collaborators.
