LABOUR MATTERS AND LABOUR LEGISLATION
Assistance / information / support are all matters relating to the
continually changing and complex field of industrial relations, collective
bargaining and labour legislation.
Assistance in studying and evaluating labour demands, before
they are negotiated with the Trade Unions.
Assistance in conducting collective bargaining with the Trade
Unions, including direct participation in the negotiations, if the member
so wishes, and at the mediation stage at the Ministry of Labour.
Representation of members vis-a-vis Trade Union of all labour
issues.

SERVICES SECTOR
OEB initiates and co-ordinates actions of more than 25 Services Associations in furthering the development and promotion of the Services Sector at home and abroad and in projecting Cyprus as an important regional Services Center. It also publishes a very attractive and informative "Cyprus Services Directory" and organises an annual specialised "Services Exbition (CYSERV)".
MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT AND INFORMATION
Extensive management development programmes are actively implemented
through seminars covering a wide range of topical subjects of entrepreneurial
interest in the areas of management, labour relations, ISO 9000, environment,
EU affairs etc.
Small-Medium Enterprises (SME) Unit: Established in 1981, assists
SMEs in solving special problems regarding management, production, finance,
operating methods and generally helps with increasing their productivity.
Offering advice and information to enterprises on EU affairs
with the aim of assisting them to adapt promptly and effective to the Acquis
Communautaire in anticipation of the envisaged entry of Cyprus to the EU as a full
member.
