The estimate of GDP growth during the first quarter of 2003 (2,4% over 2002
Q1) is the combined result of negative performances of the manufacturing and
tourism (Hotel) sectors coupled with stagnant consumer demand (retail
sales), and on the other hand effected by positive growth rates exhibited by
the construction and some services sectors. |
