The Consumer Price Index for February 2002 decreased by 0,24 units or
0,22% to 108,58 units compared to 108,82 in January 2002. This is mainly
due to decreases in the prices of certain fresh vegetables, potatoes,
petroleum products and to the reduced prices due to the continuing sales
period. Increases have been recorded in the prices of refreshments and
fresh milk.
2. For the period January-February 2002 the CPI recorded an increase of
2,70% compared to the corresponding period of 2001. The rate of increase
of the Index for February 2002 compared to February 2001 was also 2,70%.
