Price Index for the Month of June, 2002 |
The Consumer Price Index for June 2002 increased by 0,48 units or 0,43%
to 110,88 units compared to 110,40 in May 2002. This is mainly due to
increases in the prices of cigarettes, electricity and certain fresh
vegetables. A decrease has been recorded in the prices of certain fresh
fruit and potatoes.
2. For the period January-June 2002 the CPI recorded an increase of
2,47% compared to the corresponding period of 2001. The rate of increase
of the Index for June 2002 compared to June 2001 was 2,03%.
