The Consumer Price Index for March 2003 increased by 2,37 units or 2,09%
to 115,77 units compared to 113,40 in February 2003. This is mainly due to
increases in the prices of petroleum products, electricity, certain fresh
vegetables, as well as to increases in the prices of clothing and footwear
items following the end of the winter sales.
2. For the period January-March 2003 the CPI recorded an increase of
4,84% compared to the corresponding period of 2002. The rate of increase of
the Index for March 2003 compared to March 2002 was 5,97%.
