Antonis Michaelides was born in Nicosia in 1948. He studied Law in Athens /Greece and continued with postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics and at the Polytechnic of Central London (Business Administration). For years he had been employed at the MPM Group of Companies as a member of the Board of directors thus contributing to the development of the Group. He played a leading part in the expansion of the Group in its car trade activities. In 1991 he established the MPM Eurocars Company Ltd representing in Cyprus the French auto industry Automobiles Peugeot S.A. In 1999 he added the trade of recreational boats to the Groupīs activities. In 2003 the Group was expanded in Greece. He has been a member of the Boards of the Cyprus Football Association and the Development Bank. He is currently a member of the Board of the Association of Importers of Automobile Vehicles and of the Cyprus Automobile Association. He is married to Nino Michaelidou and has two children.
