AYIOS EPIKTITOS - MISSING PERSONS SINCE 1974

During the barbarian Turkish invasion, 17 of our fellow villagers of Ayios Epiktitos were captured and disappeared by the Turkish invading military forces. These people are our relatives, our friends and our own blood.
A total of 1619* men, women and children of all villages and towns of Cyprus were reported as missing due to the Turkish barbarian invasion to the island in 1974.

We demand from the whole civilized world to practice all possible pressures to the Turkish military and political authorities in order to provide evidence for their fortune.

* It is characteristic that out of the 17 missing persons from Ayios Epiktitos, 10 were soldiers, either reservists, or serving the military in the National Guard at that time, and 4 of them are missing from the very first day of the war (July 20 1974).

* It is characteristic that Andreas Pepekkos was "Missing In Action" again, in the past, while fighting alongside the Allies, against NAZI Germany, during World War II. At that time he returned back in Ayios Epiktitos after 5 years. Now?
